Job Description

Overview

The Director of Engineering/Environmental-Project Management Office at PacifiCorp is responsible for managing the Project Management Office for Rocky Mountain Power, contributing to corporate objectives and strategies. This role involves overseeing engineering and environmental operations, managing financial and employee resources, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Apply engineering and environmental principles to support operations and capital projects.
  • Assist in developing and implementing annual asset investment plans.
  • Prepare expert testimony for legislative and regulatory proceedings.
  • Lead data responses and correspondence with Public Utility Commissions.
  • Ensure operational support through internal and external technical resources.
  • Facilitate employee coaching, feedback, and collaborative work.
  • Develop strategies for continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Assess industry practices affecting performance.
  • Oversee process transitions and special projects.
  • Review and evaluate employee performance.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum ten years of experience in plant operations or related field
  • Minimum five years of experience in people management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, Title V, etc.)
  • Experience with electrical generation facility design and maintenance
  • Proficient in spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications
  • Experience with SAP
  • Budget preparation and analysis skills
