Overview

Larimar Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for rare diseases. The Director of Business Development will play a crucial role in identifying and executing business development opportunities while collaborating closely with the Chief Financial Officer and senior management.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and execute long-range strategic partnering plans
  • Manage interactions with third parties and oversee data room management
  • Evaluate and execute strategic partner and licensing opportunities
  • Build financial models and business cases for partnerships and investments
  • Manage external advisors during transaction processes
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking
  • Foster collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Provide strategic guidance based on industry analysis and best practices

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, life sciences, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, or related fields
  • Experience in a global life sciences organization
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
