Overview

Larimar Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for rare diseases. The Director of Business Development will play a key role in identifying and executing business development opportunities, working closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior management to create and execute long-range strategic partnering plans.
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with third parties, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Evaluate and execute strategic partner and licensing opportunities.
  • Build financial models and business cases for strategic opportunities.
  • Manage external advisors during transaction processes.
  • Conduct market analysis and research to support growth opportunities.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across teams and engage senior leadership.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations based on industry analysis.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, life sciences, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, or related fields
  • Experience in a global life sciences organization
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
  • Strong PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
