Job Description

Overview

The Director - Asset Allocation, Portfolio Construction at FM will support the investment research and portfolio analysis for a globally diversified multi-asset portfolio. This role involves generating insights to inform asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management, contributing to both tactical and strategic asset allocation efforts.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor markets and conduct research on positioning and active risks across asset classes
  • Analyze portfolio structure and evaluate impacts of allocation changes
  • Build and maintain cross-asset and relative value models
  • Develop capital market assumptions and assist with quantitative portfolio construction
  • Evaluate new asset classes and investment strategies to support allocation objectives
  • Monitor active risk and asset allocation exposure across entities
  • Support risk management and reporting related to regulatory frameworks
  • Partner with investment, operations, and accounting teams for portfolio management
  • Prepare portfolio reviews and investment reports for stakeholders

Required skills

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in trading, portfolio management, markets research, or risk management
  • Experience investing across asset classes and evaluating market opportunities
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience with Bloomberg and/or FactSet
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly
  • High attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Collaborative mindset with effective teamwork abilities
  • Programming experience in Python preferred
