Overview

Pacific Life is seeking a Director Actuary for Annuity Product Management to join its Consumer Markets Division. This key role involves leading an actuarial team to manage and report on the annuity product suite, ensuring compliance and driving strategic growth while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and implement operational and modeling efficiencies
  • Collaborate with pricing and rate setting teams to ensure smooth information transitions
  • Test and implement new pricing model assumptions and communicate impacts
  • Manage and develop a team of four, focusing on project completion and innovative processes
  • Analyze sales and capital projections, managing profitability metrics
  • Ensure compliance with Enterprise Pricing Policy in pricing models and processes
  • Implement new balance sheet frameworks into pricing models
  • Collaborate with teams to find pricing power levers and understand tradeoffs

Required skills

  • 8+ years of experience in annuity products
  • FSA designation
  • Experience in team development and management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Annuity pricing experience
  • Knowledge of various balance sheet frameworks including US Stat, Bermuda, Economic
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
