Overview

Olymel is seeking a Maintenance Director for its Berthierville location to manage the maintenance department's activities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality in operations. The ideal candidate will contribute to the company's culture of innovation and sustainability while leading a dynamic team and overseeing various maintenance projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, and control maintenance activities including preventive and repair work
  • Participate in project selection and integration for infrastructure and new processes
  • Monitor the department's budget to achieve performance goals
  • Supervise and support a team of maintenance supervisors and technicians
  • Manage subcontractors in various trades
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and health and safety regulations
  • Participate in safety, management, and labor relations committees
  • Perform other related tasks as required

Required skills

  • University or college degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of supervisory experience in industrial maintenance
  • Electrical competency card (C license) is an asset
  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English
  • Proficient in common software (Windows, Word, Excel)
