Overview

Olymel is seeking a Director of Quality and Animal Welfare for pork and poultry to join their dynamic team in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. This role focuses on collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency and quality while promoting animal welfare and sustainable practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with producers, transporters, suppliers, and various departments.
  • Conduct audits, training, data analysis, and manage non-conformities.
  • Develop biosecurity plans and handle crisis management.
  • Supervise audit agents and plan audits.
  • Monitor health surveillance and manage technical and regulatory projects.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences, Agronomy, or Food Science and Technology.
  • PAACO certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pork/poultry sector and management roles.
  • Leadership, adaptability, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
