Overview

Olymel is seeking a Production Director to join their dynamic team in Saint-Esprit, Quebec. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all aspects of production while ensuring safety, quality, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and contribute to various improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, and control the entire production process
  • Ensure efficient use of labor and equipment
  • Prioritize health and safety management and prevent accidents
  • Comply with HACCP & SQF systems and maintain hygiene standards
  • Plan workforce and forecast production volume
  • Assist supervisors in resolving technical and administrative issues
  • Establish good interpersonal and professional relationships
  • Collaborate on improvement projects and coach managers

Required skills

  • Degree in administration, production management or equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years of production management experience in a manufacturing company
  • Experience managing unionized employees, preferably in food sector
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving and change management abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Functional level of English
