Job Description

Overview

As a Direct Support Team Lead at Sevita, you will provide leadership and supervision to staff while delivering direct services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will be part of a mission-driven team, engaged in community outreach, and responsible for ensuring that the services provided meet the needs and objectives set for the individuals we serve.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to staff in the residence and community
  • Deliver direct care and services to individuals
  • Attend and participate in training for individuals served
  • Coordinate and implement shift objectives and service delivery
  • Serve as a role model for staff ensuring accurate documentation
  • Assist with staffing needs and recruitment processes
  • Participate in community outings and house orientation for new employees
  • Ensure the completion of job coaching and behavior management tasks

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' experience in human services
  • Current driver's license and clean driving record
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Compassionate and reliable attitude
