Overview

The Direct Support Professional - Team Lead at Sevita will provide leadership and supervision to staff while offering direct services to individuals with complex needs. This role involves participating in community activities, training new employees, and ensuring the delivery of services aligned with individual plans.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to staff in residence and community settings
  • Support the mission by providing direct services to individuals served
  • Attend training and assist in achieving objectives for individuals and the company
  • Conduct house orientation for new employees
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation by serving as a role model to staff
  • Assist with house staffing needs and recruit staff
  • Review progress and implement shift objectives for individuals served
  • Deliver services such as skills training, job coaching, and behavior management

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' experience in the human services field
  • Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Effective communication skills
