Overview

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) at AMA Support Services LLC plays a critical role in providing care and support to individuals in both home and community settings. This position focuses on ensuring individuals' comfort, safety, and personal development while fostering a culture of excellence, compassion, and integrity.

Key responsibilities

  • Create a structured and nurturing environment that meets the needs of individuals
  • Ensure health, safety, and personal development of participants
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and requirements
  • Develop positive working relationships with individuals and their support teams
  • Create and oversee weekly schedules for participants
  • Transport and accompany participants to appointments and activities
  • Manage individual and company finances according to policies and regulations

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Work experience as a caregiver (preferred)
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient technology skills (smartphones, laptops, databases)
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting and stretching
