Overview

As a Direct Support Professional at Sevita in Red Wing, Minnesota, you will provide essential support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist in daily activities, promote socialization, and maintain relationships that enhance the quality of life for those you serve.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver support according to individual service plans
  • Assist with personal care and daily activities

  • Manage individuals' assets within budgetary constraints
  • Maintain professional relationships with individuals and families
  • Report incidents of abuse or neglect per company policy
  • Administer or support self-administration of medications
  • Contribute to training and participate in staff meetings
  • Ensure a safe work environment and adhere to safety policies

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of experience in human services preferred
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Knowledge of documentation and compliance standards
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required
