Overview

NeuroRestorative, part of the Sevita family, offers rehabilitation services for individuals with brain, spinal cord, and medically complex injuries across various community settings. The Direct Support Professional role involves providing vital assistance and training to individuals, promoting independence and quality of life through daily support and community involvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide training and assistance in living skills and therapeutic recreation.
  • Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, and medication administration.
  • Facilitate relationships between employers and individuals served, supporting community involvement.
  • Work closely with clinical staff to uphold therapeutic and behavioral plans.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Six months to one year of experience in the human services field
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Caring attitude and dedication to assisting others
