Overview

As a Direct Support Professional at Sevita, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independently. This position offers the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships and support individuals in achieving their personal goals, including budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities
  • Support participants in reaching developmental goals
  • Encourage community involvement and enjoyment of activities
  • Provide compassionate care and support for individuals with behavioral challenges
  • Build meaningful relationships with participants

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
  • Communication skills
  • Adaptability and multi-tasking abilities
  • Teamwork and time-management skills
  • Patience and compassion
  • Reliability and responsibility
  • Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
