Overview

Sevita is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Abilene, Texas to provide community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, you will help participants reach their developmental goals while fostering meaningful relationships and supporting their daily activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities
  • Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
  • Help participants engage in community activities
  • Build meaningful relationships with the individuals served
  • Develop ownership and trust in your role

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
