Overview

The Direct Support Professional at Sevita provides essential rehabilitation services for individuals with brain, spinal cord, and complex injuries. This role involves assisting clients with life skills, daily activities, and fostering their community involvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide training, assistance, and supervision in living skills and therapeutic recreation
  • Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
  • Facilitate relationships between employers and individuals served
  • Support community involvement through outings and transportation
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in the human services field
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
