Job Description

Overview

As a Direct Support Professional at Sevita, you will be part of a dedicated team providing quality services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your role includes supporting participants in developing skills, achieving their personal goals, and promoting independence within their community.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities
  • Support participants in achieving developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
  • Build meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve
  • Take initiative to help participants engage in community activities
  • Provide behavior support to individuals with complex needs

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
  • Communication and adaptability skills
  • Multi-tasking and teamwork abilities
  • Time management skills
  • Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
  • Behaviors: patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
