Overview

As a Direct Support Lead at Sevita in Madison, Wisconsin, you will be part of a mission-driven team providing community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role involves building meaningful relationships and supporting participants in achieving their developmental goals, while also assisting with personal hygiene and managing behavioral challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
  • Assist individuals with personal hygiene and manage behavioral challenges
  • Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals served
  • Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities
  • Work collaboratively within a team and with supervisors to ensure participant well-being

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
