Overview

As a Direct Support Caregiver at Sevita, you will provide community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will join a mission-driven team, creating meaningful relationships while helping participants achieve their developmental goals and enjoy daily activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Support participants with personal hygiene and behavioral challenges
  • Assist individuals in achieving developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
  • Develop meaningful relationships with the people you serve
  • Take initiative to engage participants in community activities
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure participant well-being

Required skills

  • Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Adaptability and multi-tasking abilities
  • Effective teamwork and time-management skills
  • Compassionate, reliable, and responsible demeanor
  • Valid Minnesota driver's license and access to a registered vehicle
