Job Description

Overview

The Registered Dietitian at Walden Behavioral Care in Westborough, MA, will provide clinical nutrition and dietary planning under the supervision of the Director of Ambulatory Nutrition Services. This full-time position involves working with patients with eating disorders and contributing to their recovery journey through personalized nutrition care.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide clinical nutrition and meal plans aligned with Walden Behavioral Care's philosophy
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and document findings using clinical terminology
  • Perform individual and group nutrition therapy
  • Develop meal guides and support patients in nutrition rehabilitation
  • Participate in treatment team and discharge planning
  • Educate patients and families on nutrition
  • Communicate treatment progress to all stakeholders
  • Supervise and provide coaching during meal times

Required skills

  • Master's Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition
  • Experience in Eating Disorder Services and Mental Health settings
  • Menu planning and therapeutic diets in healthcare
  • Licensure-eligible Dietitian in Massachusetts
  • Registered Dietitian certification from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • CPR Certification
  • Medical nutrition therapy knowledge
  • Motivational interviewing
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize
  • Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
