Overview

The Diesel Truck & Trailer Mechanic at JAM Best One Tire and Service will perform mechanical service and diagnostics on trucks and agricultural vehicles. Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance service
  • Conduct alignments and repairs on chassis, driveline, and hydraulic systems
  • Diagnose and repair A/C systems
  • Maintain and repair brake systems
  • Provide tire and wheel service
  • Carry out trailer and suspension repairs
  • Conduct electrical diagnostics and repair
  • Participate in 24-hour emergency road service on an on-call rotation

Required skills

  • Experience servicing automotive, commercial truck, or farm vehicles (minimum 2 years)
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to lift 75-100 pounds
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to personal training and development
  • Preferred certifications in Brakes and Braking Systems, Steering and Suspension, Electrical
