Overview

TruckPro LLC is looking for a Diesel Technician specializing in Heavy Duty Truck Services in Cambridge, Ontario. This role involves repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers to meet customer and industry specifications. The position emphasizes quality service and maintaining profitability while also ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform repairs to customer vehicles and trailers
  • Execute basic welding functions
  • Communicate completion times, service expenses, and changes to customers and management
  • Monitor job profitability and minimize warranty claims
  • Submit work orders for invoicing
  • Maintain inventory and supplies
  • Prepare list of required replacement parts
  • Clean work area and maintain equipment
  • Adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards

Required skills

  • Two years of diesel mechanic experience in the heavy-duty industry
  • Automotive Service Excellence certification or equivalent
  • Possess personal tools or willingness to purchase tools
  • Ability to lift parts up to 50+ lbs
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
