Job Description

Overview

As a Diesel Technician Apprentice at Love's Travel Stops, you will receive hands-on training in a fast-paced environment while interacting with customers and drivers. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn various mechanical skills and diagnostics in support of maintaining vehicle functionality.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist customers with roadside services
  • Learn preventative maintenance services
  • Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs
  • Conduct air conditioning and heating diagnostics
  • Execute wheel end assembly diagnostics
  • Carry out air system and air brakes diagnostics
  • Manage charging system diagnostics and repairs
  • Use basic computer diagnostics and component replacement
  • Assist in parts lookup and acquisition
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures
  • Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night
