Job Description

Overview

DATTCO is seeking a full-time Diesel Technician at their Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location in Watertown, CT. As a family-owned transportation company, they focus on maintaining their fleet of 200 vehicles and providing a supportive work environment with opportunities for advancement.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles
  • Conduct diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles
  • Complete required paperwork regarding repair orders and parts usage
  • Make road calls as necessary
  • Use and maintain the proper hand tools for job functions
  • Follow directions from the shop foreman or other supervisors

Required skills

  • High school diploma, trade school or equivalent
  • 5 years training or experience in automotive, truck or bus repair
  • Driver's license and DOT medical card
  • Eligibility to hold a CDL license
  • Willingness to work towards ASE certifications
  • Adequate English verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical strength and conditioning to perform required tasks
