Overview

Gulf Coast Intermodal Inc. is seeking Diesel Technicians to join their team in Pensacola, Florida. The role involves the maintenance and repair of diesel engines, primarily dealing with new Volvo tractors and late-model utility trailers, while contributing to the company's reputation for excellent customer service in the logistics industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform diesel engine repairs and maintenance
  • Conduct DOT inspections
  • Repair brake systems and air conditioning systems
  • Utilize computer programs to manage work orders and documentation
  • Maintain and use mechanical tools effectively
  • Work as part of a team in a varied shift environment

Required skills

  • 1 year of diesel engine repair experience
  • 3 - 5 years of mechanical knowledge
  • Basic mechanic tools proficiency
  • Experience in logistics/transportation industry
  • Knowledge of brake systems and AC repairs
  • Proficiency with TMT, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Qualcomm and Peoplenet
  • ASE certification preferred
  • Class A CDL preferred
