Overview

Orica is seeking a Diesel Shop Mechanic for their Gold Hill, NC location. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and repair Class B trucks and Mobile Mixing Units, focusing on hydraulic systems, gear process pumps, and electrical systems, ensuring efficient delivery and service processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment
  • Work independently in remote areas
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with diesel engines and chassis
  • Execute maintenance on hydraulic systems and pumps
  • Minimize downtime during service processes

Required skills

  • 4-5 years experience in troubleshooting or maintenance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate with industrial applications
  • Expertise in control theory and systems including electronics and hydraulics
  • Automotive electrical experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
