Orica is seeking a Diesel Shop Mechanic for its Gold Hill, NC location. The role involves maintaining and repairing Class B trucks and Mobile Mixing Units, focusing on hydraulics, gear process pumps, and electrical systems. The mechanic will also perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair Class B trucks and Mobile Mixing Units
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
  • Work independently in remote areas for field repairs
  • Troubleshoot issues related to hydraulics, engines, and chassis

Required skills

  • 4-5 years experience in a troubleshooting or maintenance environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with automotive electrical systems
  • Expertise in control theory and systems including electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
