Overview

The Diesel Shop Mechanic at Orica in Gold Hill, NC, is responsible for maintaining and repairing Class B trucks and Mobile Mixing Units, focusing on hydraulics and electrical systems. This role requires a proactive approach to preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and supports the company's commitment to innovation and safety in a collaborative work environment.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Class B trucks and Mobile Mixing Units.
  • Focus on hydraulics, gear process pumps, and electrical systems.
  • Work independently in remote areas as required.
  • Minimize downtime in delivery and service processes.

Required skills

  • Proven experience in troubleshooting or maintenance environments (4-5 years).
  • Computer literacy with industrial applications.
  • Expertise in control theory and systems including electronics, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Automotive electrical, engine and chassis, and hydraulic & pumps experience.
