Overview

Community Transit is seeking Diesel Mechanics to maintain and repair vehicles that serve the Snohomish County community. Key responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical repairs on diesel and gasoline-powered equipment
  • Work with various tools and technology related to vehicle maintenance
  • Prioritize quality of work over quotas
  • Participate in ongoing education and training programs
  • Ensure safety and injury prevention in the workplace

Required skills

  • 4 years of experience in mechanical repair, or 2 years plus a vocational degree in diesel mechanics
  • Experience with electrical systems, gas engines, diesel engines, air systems, suspensions, and brakes
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a clean and safe environment
