Job Description

Overview

Sun Services LLC is seeking an entry-level Diesel Mechanic to support its maintenance department, which provides various services for construction waste recycling and roll-off dumpster services. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety and time management, displaying a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on the fleet
  • Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
  • Maintain the general cleanliness of the Diesel Shop
  • Comply with all company and OSHA safety standards
  • Assist our fleet on the road as needed
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems
  • Experience in oil changes, tires, clutch replacements, and rear differentials (minimum 1 year)
  • Full driver's license
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred
  • Natural mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts
