Overview

Dynamic Equipment Group is seeking a Diesel Field Mechanic to join their team in Fort Myers, Florida. This full-time role is aimed at individuals with mid-level experience in diesel mechanics or recent technical school graduates. The position focuses on performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment while ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment
  • Ensure equipment is job-ready for customers
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately
  • Communicate estimated labor times and job updates to the Service Manager
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment adhering to OSHA standards
  • Track and follow up on parts needed for current jobs

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of heavy equipment/diesel mechanic experience or recent technical school graduate
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of schematics/diagrams
  • Familiarity with diagnostic software and electronic tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
  • Personal tools required
