Overview

The DFH Shop Technician role at Tague Lumber in Malvern, PA involves working in the Commercial Door, Frame, and Hardware division with a focus on welding and assembling hollow metal doors and frames. Candidates should be friendly, perceptive, and disciplined, capable of handling physical tasks in a warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lay out, fit, cut, and weld fabricated hollow metal material to assemble hollow metal frames
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding and cutting equipment
  • Use various bench and hand power tools
  • Perform general warehouse duties
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, machines, tools, and equipment
  • Handle inventory responsibilities

Required skills

  • Welding experience
  • Metal fabrication skills
  • Forklift operation (preferred)
  • Tool operation (bench and hand power tools)
  • Ability to lift over 80 pounds
  • Valid driver's license
