Overview

The Developmental Disabilities Specialist - Child & Family Educator at Envision Ohio works directly with families and children with developmental disabilities or autism in Cincinnati, providing flexible, in-home, community-based support. This role emphasizes individual work and meaningful interactions with families, managing a consistent caseload and scheduling visits based on family availability.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide weekly in-home visits with children and families
  • Conduct developmental and skills-based assessments
  • Create and guide individualized service plans
  • Coach parents using practical, evidence-based strategies
  • Support communication, behavior, and daily living skills
  • Document progress and collaborate with internal teams

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
  • Experience in child development, assessment, or family support
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in education or behavioral support
