Description: POSITION SUMMARYSupports the work of the Keene Family YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Build members and the community's understanding of the YMCA's cause and impact. This position in coordination with the CEO will take the Keene Family YMCA's philanthropy to a new level with innovative strategies that engage volunteers, staff and donors while developing a culture that integrates community impact work across the spectrum of giving to enhance donor engagement and the visibility of the Y as a mission-driven, nonprofit organization of value to the Monadnock Region.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Leads the Y's cause- driven fund development efforts including the primary responsibility of strengthening the infrastructure and ability of the Y to grow through solicitation of annual and major gifts, grants, unique events, corporate and foundation support. Leads the Y's community impact (CI) efforts including developing and hosting CI events, keeping and cultivating new CI partnerships, and helping to educate staff, volunteers, donors and the community about the Y's role as a regional CI organization. Responsible for prospective research, help with cultivation, implementation, securing gifts, and gift acknowledgements. Plans for annual capital campaigns, and all events associated with the campaigns. Stands for and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with regional and state level organizations, businesses and governmental entities. Broadens the Y's relationships into diverse populations.Works in collaboration with marketing/communications initiatives (newsletter, website, community outreach and social media) and represents the Y in community affairs, building relationships with corporate, non-profit, and media representatives. Works closely with the Board of Directors and committees as they continue to build a more active fundraising role. Works closely with, challenges and grows the staff team, volunteers, and campaign chairs for employee, board and Y member philanthropic campaigns.Serves as primary staff to the DCI and Legacy Giving committees as well as ad hoc Annual Campaign and Sneaker Ball committees.Serves as a member of senior Y management and supports the overall goals ofthe Y. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in business administration, development, communications, public relations, human services, or equivalent. Minimum 2 years' proven success in philanthropy with experience in major gifts, annual giving, foundation and corporate grants, capital development, planned to giving, and volunteer development.Minimum 3 years' experience in successfully leading and managing a team of direct and indirect reports and managing a department budget. Direct experience working with Boards of Directors, board committees, and fund development volunteers.Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, inclusive of successful experience directly preparing and delivering materials and presentations on needs, campaign case, and/or complex topics that influence decision makers at elevated levels of foundations, government, community organizations, corporations, and across diverse communities.Demonstrated ability to develop strategic and operational plans and successful implementation through effective change management techniques.Compensation details: 0 Yearly SalaryPI60ae087515b4-5964
