Overview

The Desktop Support Technician at Barrister Global Services in Rochester, MN, is responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues to maintain operational uptime. This role involves collaborating with external partners, managing documentation, and executing deployment of modern operating systems and software.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the frontline technical expert for diagnosing and resolving end-user challenges
  • Coordinate with external technology partners to resolve hardware malfunctions
  • Provide ongoing updates to stakeholders regarding open tickets and solutions
  • Log support interactions meticulously within the ITSM platform
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows 11/10 and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Provide secondary support for macOS devices
  • Manage the physical health and troubleshooting of workstations and multifunction print devices
  • Conduct routine diagnostic checks and preventative maintenance
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve network performance issues
  • Apply knowledge of data center components to assist organizational tech goals
  • Adapt to collaborative, sprint-based environments and contribute to hardware refreshes
