Overview

Global Finishing Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Designer to create precise production drawings and documentation that will assist in the fabrication and assembly of finishing products. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers, applying their design expertise to support various teams and ensure quality in the design process.

Key responsibilities

  • Turn customer concepts into CAD drawings, including concepts, assemblies, and details.
  • Build precise bills of material for smooth production processes.
  • Support other teams with design expertise as needed.
  • Apply industry standards and quality checks to all drawings and BOMs.
  • Develop manufacturing-ready details, including specifications and blank views.
  • Create packing lists to ensure complete and timely job shipments.

Required skills

  • Associate's degree in mechanical design or equivalent experience
  • 0-2 years of hands-on design work
  • Proficiency in Inventor (preferred) and AutoCAD
  • Skills in both 2D and 3D design
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
