Job Description

Overview

ATSS is seeking a Marine Designer level 4 in Pascagoula, MS, with expertise in HVAC, Piping, and Machinery. The designer will be responsible for creating and modifying designs, utilizing CAD, CAM, and CATIA, to improve manufacturing operations and ensure compliance with engineering specifications.

Key responsibilities

  • Design components or portions of systems and modify existing designs
  • Utilize CAD, CAM, or CATIA for design tasks
  • Gather information and compute engineering calculations
  • Prepare original layouts and sketches for design proposals
  • Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, and planning groups

Required skills

  • High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of experience or Associates Degree with 6 years experience
  • Proficient in CAD, CAM, and CATIA software
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, Piping, and Machinery design
  • Experience checking engineering documents and drawings
  • Knowledge of Planning Yard processes and procedures

What the company offers

  • Base pay range of $40.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Initial contract duration of 1 year
