Job Description

Overview

As a Design Tech II at Ventek Solutions, you will be part of a leading manufacturer of engineered shape molded foam components and protective packaging. This role is essential in supporting engineering activities related to design, development, and manufacturing solutions for various industries, ensuring the company's commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Support engineering activities related to design, development, and manufacturing of solutions
  • Create engineering drawings using Creo Parametric 3D CAD software
  • Create tool paths and perform post processing for 3-axis milling machines
  • Produce prototype foam parts using various machining and woodworking equipment
  • Perform maintenance and calibration of Tech Center equipment
  • Support product testing and inspect products for quality
  • Make boxes and package prototypes for shipment
  • Arrange shipping using small parcel shipment software and LTL carriers

Required skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Knowledge of Creo Parametric 3D CAD software
  • Ability to operate cutting machines and tables
  • Experience operating a forklift or similar material handling equipment
  • Capability to instruct and train technicians
  • Ability to perform product tests and document results
  • Strong independent working skills and adaptability to directions
