Job Description

Overview

Geiger is looking for a Design Specialist based in Los Angeles to support its Sales Team by creating product solutions and layouts for commercial furniture. This role involves collaborating with various teams to influence product development, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining showroom standards, all while contributing to the company's mission of redefining modern office solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Create office and workplace room layouts in response to client RFPs
  • Understand Geiger product lines and position them against competitors
  • Participate in training initiatives to maintain industry leadership
  • Provide application guidance and support for internal and external audiences
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create custom solutions
  • Document specifications and pricing for custom furniture
  • Articulate applications using Vectorworks and other design tools
  • Serve as a liaison between sales, manufacturing, and design communities
  • Deliver excellent customer experience in the showroom
  • Maintain showroom standards and inventory of sales resources
  • Travel up to 10% to support client engagements

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, or Furniture Design
  • 3-5 years of design-related experience or in custom cabinet design
  • Contract furniture experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of customer and sales processes
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to present design solutions
  • Knowledge of CAD software applications (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp)
  • Experience with Vectorworks is ideal
  • Proficiency in office automation and communication tools
