Overview

The Design Engineer III at ACO, Inc. will apply engineering skills to product development and process design, focusing on creating accurate CAD models and working plans from sketches. This role supports the R&D team, manages product testing, and assists in various engineering functions.

Key responsibilities

  • Create 3D CAD models and detailed drawings from sketches
  • Check dimensions and specifications of materials
  • Conduct laboratory and production testing
  • Assist with process improvements and product development
  • Utilize engineering principles for product design
  • Store and manage drawings in the company PDM
  • Support quality control and safety compliance
  • Collaborate with other departments for layout needs

Required skills

  • Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • 4-7 years of experience in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • 2 years of experience with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
  • Experience in project management and cost estimating
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
