Job Description

Overview

The Design Engineer III at ACO, Inc. will apply engineering skills to product development and process design. This role includes creating 3D CAD models and preparing detailed drawings, while collaborating with the R&D Supervisor on product development and conducting necessary testing and improvements.

Key responsibilities

  • Create 3D CAD models and detailed drawings from sketches or notes
  • Conduct laboratory and production testing for products and materials
  • Assist in process improvements and design evaluation
  • Utilize engineering principles for product design and material selection
  • Check dimensions and specifications of parts according to industry standards
  • Maintain and store all drawings in the company PDM system
  • Assist in quality control and compliance practices
  • Support other departments with layout needs

Required skills

  • Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • 4-7 years of experience in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field
  • 2 years experience with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling
  • Experience with project management and cost estimating
  • Ability to read engineering and architectural drawings
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
