Job Description

Overview

ACE Thermal Systems is seeking a Design Engineer 2 to contribute to the development of environmental control systems for aerospace applications. The role involves designing components, conducting testing, and supporting product development programs while working in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform project assignments under supervision.
  • Assess customer requirements and design projects accordingly.
  • Analyze problems and recommend actions.
  • Ensure accuracy of engineering documentation.
  • Prepare and present design data for internal and customer reviews.
  • Support DFX efforts including Cost, Manufacturability, and Reliability.
  • Create and release initial drawings and minor revisions.
  • Monitor project cost and schedule, communicating status to stakeholders.
  • Provide technical assistance to Business Development, Manufacturing, and Quality organizations.
  • Assist in proposal preparation and customer presentations.

Required skills

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in environmental control systems
  • Aerospace or aircraft industry experience preferred
  • Familiarity with RTCA/DO-160 and STC process
  • Experience with 3D modeling and drawings
  • SolidWorks or AutoDesk experience
  • Knowledge of CAD design and analysis tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
  • Ability to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally
