Overview

As a Deposit Operations Specialist at North Easton Savings Bank, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and efficiency of daily banking operations. This position is ideal for individuals looking to build or grow a career in banking operations, providing exposure to payments, compliance, and core digital and deposit banking systems. The role involves close collaboration with branches and internal teams while developing expertise in high-impact operational processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Process and verify daily banking transactions, including wire transfers, check deposits, and electronic payments
  • Review reports and system activity to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations
  • Monitor and resolve transaction exceptions, including mobile deposits, high-dollar items, and rejected transactions
  • Support regulatory processes such as Reg CC holds, levies, and other legal requests
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries, providing timely and professional service to branches and customers
  • Assist with foreign currency transactions and check collections
  • Maintain accurate and organized records in accordance with bank policies and audit requirements
  • Partner with internal teams to research and resolve discrepancies
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in banking
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience in deposit operations, payments, or back-office banking functions (preferred)
  • Familiarity with check processing, wires, or electronic payment systems (preferred)
  • Exposure to banking regulations (e.g., Reg CC) or compliance processes (preferred)
  • Experience with core banking systems (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet (preferred)
