Overview

The Dentist at Shasta Community Health Center in Anderson, California will examine, diagnose, and treat issues related to teeth and gums. This role involves providing a range of dental services including preventive care, restorative dentistry, and minor surgical procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat dental diseases, injuries, and malformations
  • Provide basic dental services to relieve pain and infection
  • Maintain quality dental care that meets or exceeds private sector standards
  • Motivate and manage dental clinic employees
  • Perform dental procedures including exams, x-rays, prophylaxis, sealants, and extractions
  • Conduct minor surgeries, biopsies, and provide dentures and denture repairs
  • Carry out root canal therapy and other dental treatments as needed
  • Complete other assigned duties or projects

Required skills

  • Knowledge of current dental principles
  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited American Dental School
  • 4 years experience as a dentist
  • Experience in a dental community clinic setting
