Overview

The Dental Director at Elite Dental Partners is a critical leadership role that oversees operations across a portfolio of dental practices in Illinois and Wisconsin, generating approximately $20 million in annual revenue. This position focuses on driving performance by leading Operations Managers, enhancing patient care, and ensuring compliance with operational standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Operations Managers to meet operational and financial goals
  • Build strong relationships with affiliated dentists and office managers
  • Conduct regular on-site visits to improve patient experience and operations
  • Host one-on-one and team meetings to align on market-specific strategies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends and implement action plans
  • Support Office Managers in managing expenses and optimizing practice P&L
  • Oversee KPIs such as revenue growth, patient experience, staff retention, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with various departments for aligned operational strategies
  • Communicate regularly with leadership to report on performance and goals
  • Travel to practices frequently to support and align teams

Required skills

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in multi-site healthcare or retail operations
  • Proven success in managing P&L and driving growth
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • High emotional intelligence and collaborative leadership style
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix preferred)
  • Willingness to travel at least 60% of the time
