Overview

Chenega Government Mission Solutions is seeking a Dental Assistant II to support the Fort Belknap Service Unit in Harlem, Montana. The role involves providing chair-side assistance, conducting dental lab procedures, and maintaining patient records in a team-oriented environment focused on healthcare excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide chair-side dental assistance
  • Expose radiographs and take impressions
  • Clean and disinfect operatories and dental equipment
  • Perform recordkeeping and clinic maintenance duties
  • Store and manage dental supplies, preparing requisition forms as needed
  • Receive patients, verify appointments, and manage patient records
  • Document infection control practices and equipment tests
  • Perform dental lab procedures including making orthotic appliances
  • Provide educational information and support to patients and staff
  • Discharge patients, including scheduling follow-up appointments

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate from an accredited Dental Assistant program
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Dental Assistance
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy and procedures
  • Ability to explain post-operative and care instructions to patients
  • Familiarity with sterilization techniques and infection control
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
