Overview

S.A. Morman & Co. is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Delivery Driver to join their team in Portage, Michigan. The role involves ensuring customer satisfaction through the safe and efficient delivery of products, while upholding the company's reputation in a professional manner.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport products to customer locations and job sites
  • Load and deliver customer orders promptly and accurately
  • Verify orders for accuracy before loading and unloading
  • Manually load, secure, and protect materials during transport
  • Obtain required signatures and maintain accurate delivery documentation
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays
  • Complete a daily vehicle inspection and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Assist with warehouse duties including loading/unloading trucks and organizing materials
  • Serve as the primary representative of S.A. Morman & Co. when interacting with customers

Required skills

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Class B driver's license
  • Previous delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 lbs. regularly
  • Knowledge of safe lifting and loading techniques
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Familiarity with basic delivery documentation and mobile delivery apps
