Job Description

Overview

As a Delivery Driver at Staples, you will be responsible for transporting office supplies safely to customers on your assigned route. You'll work within a supportive Supply Chain team that values safety and customer service while utilizing innovative technology to enhance delivery efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Transport products safely and deliver office supplies to customers
  • Load and organize the truck for efficient delivery routes
  • Ensure adherence to safety practices and foster a safety culture
  • Provide customer support and accept product returns
  • Utilize GPS and mobile Proof of Delivery (POD) devices
  • Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues

Required skills

  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
  • Basic English language skills for communication
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs and maneuver up to 130lbs
  • 1 year of truck driving experience preferred
  • Experience with high volume package delivery
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Team collaboration and customer service skills
