Job Description

Overview

The Default Fulfillment Closer at Planet Home Lending is responsible for creating, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy of documents required for mortgage mitigation events. This role focuses on preparing necessary documents and coordinating with various parties to facilitate timely closings while adhering to investor guidelines.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare Modification, Deed in Lieu, and Short-sale documents
  • Order and review title reports and original loan documents
  • Coordinate the recording of documents with vendors
  • Maintain tracking reports of outstanding documents
  • Timely clear any document or title deficiencies
  • Assist Mitigation Processors and Underwriters with document imaging
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Relevant experience in mortgage loan documents
  • Knowledge of real estate title requirements
  • Experience in mortgage default servicing and modification programs
  • Excellent computer skills and adaptability to new software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical and analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage loan documents and property title requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and collaborative team player
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of MSP servicing system
