Overview

Society Insurance Company is looking for an experienced Data Architect to join their IT team. This role involves leading the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture, ensuring that data is trusted, accessible, and aligned with enterprise standards while driving modernization and continuous improvement of data capabilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Translate business and data strategy into scalable data architecture and platforms.
  • Engage with stakeholders to define end-to-end data architecture solutions.
  • Define and govern enterprise data architecture standards.
  • Design and build scalable data platforms and pipelines to support analytics.
  • Establish data modeling standards across systems.
  • Design and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration patterns.
  • Ensure data architecture supports quality, lineage, and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and Agile teams for effective implementation.
  • Lead evaluation and selection of data technologies and tools.
  • Drive modernization of legacy data and reporting platforms.
  • Participate in Agile/PI Planning for technical alignment.
  • Mentor teams and drive best practices in data architecture.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture or engineering.
  • Experience with data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, Data Factory, etc.).
  • Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and data integration.
  • Strong collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
  • Expertise in Microsoft data tools (SQL, SSIS, TSQL, Power BI).
  • Experience in data warehouse design and data analytics concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills and project management experience.
  • SAFe Agile Delivery experience is highly desirable.
